These past two days I have had an appetite for the first time in months. Yay!

Also, today both my internship and my only Tuesday class were cancelled, so I had tons of time to get all my work done. On top of that, I also had time to run some errands, relax and watch some TV, take a long walk to go get hot chocolate while listening to good songs on my ipod, enjoy the first day of quasi-fall weather (I could wear a sweater! My room isn't sweltering hot!), go to the library, and was--get this--able to do some pleasure reading for what may have been the first time during college. Woohoo!! What a day. :-)

I've been listening to this song A LOT lately. It's been on repeat on my iphone as I walk. This, and Rose Parade.

2:45 In The Morning by Elliot Smith

I'm going out sleepwalking
Where mute memories start talking
The boss that couldnt help but hurt you
And the pretty thing he made desert you

I'm going out now like a baby
A nave unsatisfiable baby
Grabbing onto whatevers around
For the soaring high or the crushing down

With hidden cracks that dont show
But that constantly just grow

I'm looking for the man that attacked me
While everybody was laughing at me
You beat it in me that part of you
But I'm gonna split us back in two

Tired of living in a cloud
If youre gonna say shit now you'll do it out loud

It's 2:45 in the morning
And I'm putting myself on warning
For waking up in an unknown place
With a recollection youve half erased

Looking for somebody's arms to
Wave away past harms

I'm walking out on center circle
The both of you can just fade to black
I'm walking out on center circle
Been pushed away and I'll never go back

I'm going to file this one under "WTF, 60's?!?!"

"This fairly dreadful Van Heusen tie ad celebrates a line of ties featuring 'brand new, man-talking power patterns that tell her it's a man's world...and make her so happy that it is!'"

Via Jezebel. Go there to enlarge.

Edit: This was my 200th post! Woohoo!

United States of Sin

The Seven Deadly Sins, broken down on a per-capita basis. Check it out via Buzzfeed.
Things I like about it:
Glutony as measured by the number of fast-food restaurants per capita...with a great big epicenter in the middle of Texas.

Things I don't like about it:
Sloth, as measured by expenditures on art, entertainment, and recreation compared with employment. Viable?...maybe. Insulting to artists?...unfortunately, yes.

The weather report on my computer said that it was going to rain today. As it is 99 degrees outside, I can't help but feel like that is simply a lie.
