Where in the world?
Sorry I haven't blogged in a few weeks, I was in LA/at school for the past two weeks, and had the greatest vacation ever!! Spent time with my family, my boyfriend, my friends, my professors, my dogs, and just generally enjoyed being around people I love so very much. I miss it so much already and honestly didn't want to leave at all...these next two months in Cambridge are going to be hard, but I'll pull through with the love of family and friends! Now back in Cambridge for just two days in order to organize myself, try to get rid of the jet lag, pack, and be on my way to the next leg of my journey. Next up: Rome, Florence, Venice, Vienna, Prague, and Berlin with two of my very close friends. Hopefully I'll blog a bit from the hostels, but look forward to lots of info and pictures for sure when I come back!

My family got a new pug!
My family just got a new pug two days ago! He is so cute and small, only 8 weeks old!, and his name will probably be Kung Pao. (Our other two are Won Ton and Mu Shu...sensing a theme, here?)

My mom found out about him a couple of months ago, when she was shopping at a small local pet shop and someone mentioned that an adult pug had just given birth to 5 babies, all of whom needed new homes.
My dad, mom, and brother went to visit them when they were only a few weeks old:

They chose one to be theirs a couple of weeks later, and then just the other day, once the puppies were old enough to be taken home, they went to go get him. Here he is, on his first car ride:
Then, lots of pictures of the pug at home! Sorry to bombard you with pug photos, but I am really excited about this little guy. I can't wait to see him in a month! (We have a massive 6-week break starting about 3 weeks from now, and I'll be spending 12 days of it back at home/school, visiting my family, friends, and boyfriend. I can't wait!)

On Fire
Some water got on some legal papers my dad needed today. He was wondering out loud whethe he could microwave them to get them dry.
"No no no!" My 16 year old brother says "Don't microwave paper, it burns!"
Dad: "Well...no, not if you just put it in for a second or two, it's fine"
Brother: "No, trust me, I'm a teenage boy. Also, potato chips. They burn. And if you put the potoato chip bag in with the potato chips...it's magical"

Lazy Day
I had a great, lazy day today hanging out with my little brother. He is now unceremoniously zonked out on the floor next to me because it seems like a certain pair of pugs have kicked him off of the couch. :-)

Passover
Last night was the first night of Passover and what a wonderful Seder we had! 8 friends from school and I all drove out to my house for the meal, where we joined my immediate (and part of my extended) family. The Seder was fun and lively, with the usual wine-spilling, half-remembered songs, awkward moments where we ended up on the wrong tune, great food, and fabulous friends and family. I was on such a high last night, just being around people I loved in a place that made me feel so warm. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mom and Dad, for such a great night. Happy Passover, everyone, I hope you have a lovely holiday.
